Itinerary

DAY 1
Pick-up from the Airport

Upon your arrival at the airport, our team will greet you and provide transportation to your hotel. You'll have the option to join a brief tour of Arusha city, offering insights into Tanzanian culture and preparing you for the adventure ahead. In the evening, we'll provide a detailed briefing on the upcoming tour activities. Depending on your arrival time, you may also opt for a short hike to Kilima Moto to witness a stunning sunset.

DAY 2
Arusha to Tarangire National Park

At 8:00am, we'll collect you from your hotel and introduce you to your guide for the day, beginning our journey with a scenic 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Renowned for its ancient baobab trees and abundant elephant population, Tarangire offers a unique opportunity to observe these majestic creatures up close and witness the dynamics of elephant families. Throughout our game drive, we'll follow reported animal sightings, encountering a variety of herbivores such as giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras. While spotting predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards may prove challenging, our experienced guide will endeavor to maximize our chances of encountering these elusive predators. Later, we'll stop at the river picnic site for lunch, where you can enjoy a picturesque view of the river and observe the wildlife while dining. Beware of mischievous monkeys and baboons attempting to snatch your lunch, though they pose no real threat. After lunch, we'll continue our game drive until around 5:30pm when we'll exit the park and head to our accommodation, Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge, for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 3
Karatu to Central Serengeti National Park

Following breakfast, our journey to Serengeti begins, a scenic drive lasting approximately 6 hours, inclusive of brief stops. En route, we traverse the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where we pause briefly at the gate to admire the breathtaking crater for about 20 minutes. For those interested, there's an optional visit to a Masai Village, offering insights into the daily life of the Masai people for an additional fee of US$10 to US$20.

Upon arrival in Serengeti National Park in the late afternoon, we embark on a thrilling game drive in Seronera, the heart of the Serengeti. As we explore the vast plains, we continue our game drive until late evening, providing us with the chance to witness a stunning Serengeti sunset while observing wild animals in their natural habitat. With luck, we may even witness a predator hunt! Finally, we retire to Serengeti Safari Camp for the night.

DAY 4
Northern Serengeti National Park

We venture into the expansive wilderness of the Serengeti, heading northwest to track the movements of wildlife. Following an early breakfast, we set out on a morning game drive, bringing along a packed picnic lunch for the journey. Our focus is on the Mara River, where we hope to witness the incredible sight of migration herds crossing the river. Throughout the day, we continue our exploration, scanning the landscape for wildlife until evening falls. Returning to Heritage Mara Camp, we enjoy dinner and settle in for the night, keeping an eye out for animals that may visit the campsite.

DAY 5
Serengeti National Park

Our journey takes us westward today, back to the Mara River, where we anticipate witnessing the impressive gatherings of wildebeests as they congregate and make preparations for their river crossing, marking the potential start of the migration.

Following a refreshing breakfast, we set out for a game drive, pausing midday for a delightful picnic lunch amidst the wilderness. Our exploration continues throughout the day, offering ample opportunities to observe the abundant wildlife in the area until dusk approaches. Returning to Heritage Mara Camp in the evening, we unwind and relish in the day's adventures.

DAY 6
Serengeti National Park

After a satisfying breakfast, we head out for a morning game drive towards the southern region of Serengeti, specifically Seronera. As the day progresses, we gradually exit the Serengeti in the late afternoon, making our way to the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge. Situated on the rim of the crater, this lodge offers a breathtaking view of the Ngorongoro Crater. The journey to the crater takes approximately 2 hours by road.

DAY 7
Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater at 6:15am. Our goal is to locate the elusive black rhino, known as the most challenging animal to spot in this beautiful crater. However, spotting other wildlife on the crater floor is usually much easier.

Later, after lunch, we enjoy another game drive within the crater before ascending and returning to the lodge. Upon arrival, we pack up and depart for Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa near Arusha.

DAY 8
Excursion to Kilimanjaro

Following breakfast, our next destination is the Materuni Waterfalls, where you'll embark on a brief 2-hour hike. The lush vegetation, breathtaking vistas, and cascading waterfalls create a truly awe-inspiring experience. After exploring the falls, we continue to a local coffee processing farm, where we'll enjoy a delicious lunch before making our way to the airport for departure.
